From Glasgow take the A82 towards Loch Lomond. At Tarbet turn left onto the A83 towards Inveraray. Next turn left onto the A815 then at Strachur take the A886 heading South. Turn right onto the A8003 then after passing through Tighnabruaich follow the B8000 towards Portavadie.
