Welcome to the Old Smiddy Cottage - our 'home from home' traditional stone built country cottage which is full of charm and character. We are located in beautiful countryside surrounded by fields and woods 10 miles NE of Perth. We have a large fenced garden and patio with BBQ. We are flexible to your needs and happy for you to use our country kitchen with AGA for tea or coffee and for a carry out or for heating up a meal in the evening.Come and stay a while. Kinclaven is centrally located with a good road network giving easy access on day visits to many of Scotland's famous tourist sites. Much better than unpacking and packing every day!Enjoy our healthy breakfast with fruit juice porridge or muesli fruit home made yoghurt home made bread and preserves and fresh eggs from our hens. Children love collecting their own eggs for breakfast. Well behaved pets are welcome.

If using a sat nav do NOT turn up a rough track. The Old Smiddy Cottage is on the roadside.From Perth. Take A9 north towards Inverness. After 5 miles take B9099 signposted to Stanley. Continue through Stanley Village . Half a mile beyond Stanley Village turn right on a road signposted to Kinclaven and Blairgowrie. The Old Smiddy Cottage is 2.2miles along the road side on the left. From the North. Take the Stanley turn off signposted from the A9 and follow directions from the Village as above.From the East. From the A93 either near the Beech Hedge or just after the River Isla bridge - take the road signposted to Stanley. Cross the River Tay and take the first turn left following the Stanley sign. The Old Smiddy Cottage is on the right nearly 2 miles along this road a few hundred yards after the entrance to the Ballathie House Hotel.
