By the Sea is a family run business and on arrival you will receive a friendly welcome from Julie and Wilson McIlwaine. We will endeavour to provide you with a wealth of information on local Ayr tourist attractions shopping and restaurant guides. Contemporary meets traditional at BytheSea with the contrasts of the oak furniture and crisp colours to the ornate cornicing and the original sanded floors. All of our rooms are equipped with internet access with hospitality trays colour televisions Freeview channels irons ironing boards and hairdryers. If you are on business in Ayr or would just like to surf the internet you can also make use of our broadband service for your laptop computer in your room. Open championship golf courses at Royal Troon Turnberry Prestwick and the eight municipal golf courses in the area a real golfing paradise. BytheSea is situated within a prime central location 100 yards from the beach children's outdoor and indoor play areas and a five minute walk from excellent restaurants bars and shops. We are a Non-smoking accommodation. Off street parking available. All children are welcome. 48 hour cancellation policy applies (We have a non-refundable deposit. Check-in time: 14:00 check-out time: 11:00 (We have a smoking Penalty Fee of £50 per Night).

Via A77 or A70 - Road: Queens terrace is located near the Wellington square in Ayr town centre.Prestwick airport - Air: from Prestwick Airport turn left at the roundabout and right at the next roundabout then follow the main road through Prestwick into Ayr. At Main street roundabout (TKmax straight ahead and Ayr police station on right hand side) take right and then left at the next traffic lights. Follow the road into Sandgate over the river Ayr bridge and straight though at the next roundabout .Take the 1st right (Wellington Square will be on your left hand side and then 2nd right into Queens Terrace.Ayr train station - Train: Quick taxi drive approx £5. Alternatively a 15 minute walk from the station. Come out of the railway station and go across Burns Statue Square and look for Dalblair Road. Walk down Dalblair road and down Barns Street until you reach Wellington Square. Go across the square to Bath Place and head for the seafront. Queens Terrace is located one street back from the seafront...the last road on the right hand side.Ayr bus station - Bus: From the bus station cross the road and walk to Wellington Square. Continue down to Bath Place turn right into Queens Terrace
