The Orwell Hotel is located near the town centre of Felixstowe which is in Suffolk on the south-eastern coast of England. The spacious public areas are traditionally decorated and have a wealth of charm and elegance.Felixstowe is a family seaside resort with a Victorian atmosphere. Bathing huts seafront gardens and red shingle beach with pier. Ipswich is less than 20 kilometres away by car. The hotel is just metres away from Felixstowe Railway Station which runs a service to Ipswich. This service departs approximately once an hour.The town of Felixstowe has retained much of its Edwardian character and appeal. The town has had an interesting history being both a fortress town and a busy port. Golfers can enjoy a round of golf surrounded by picturesque seaside scenery at the Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club.The Spa Pavilion Theatre has been open since 1909 and continues to stage popular plays and concerts. There is also a well-known bar and restaurant here. May we please make you aware that on certain days we hold functions in the hotel. This ofteninvolves music being played until midnight. Hotel directions :
If travelling by car you should proceed on the A12 to Ipswich and then continue along the A14 towards Felixstowe. When you reach the Felixstowe and Walton by-pass join the A154 from the first roundabout. This will take you to Candlet Road. When you come to the second roundabout you should take the A1021 to Grove Road and continue to the third roundabout where you will take the third exit to Beatrice Avenue.On reaching the fourth roundabout the second exit will take you to Hamilton Road and you will see the Hotel Elizabeth Orwell immediately on your left.
