This grand Georgian 1752 budget property has many impressive features including stone-flagged entrance hall a grand carved sweeping staircase panelled rooms vaulted cellar and a fabulous Rococo ceiling featuring Shakespeare's head. If you are looking for budget accommodation in York then Ace York is the place to be!With full air conditioning throughout its own Oak-Beamed Basement TV and Games Room Bar Guest Kitchen and Outdoor Courtyard we are at the top end of budget accommodation.Ace York is situated within the City of York walls and has great views of York including York Minster. This city centre unique location offers a number of rooms and beds all with exquisite views. All bedrooms are en suite and suit everyone's budget.Ace York Rooms:All rooms have Air Con and are all Non-Smoking. All our bedrooms are Bunk-Bedded rooms (except the double and family rooms) All our bedrooms are en suite (bar the 4 bed dorm) Ace York Double rooms overlook the Yorkshire Wheel and have safes televisions and their own original 18th century fireplaces. Twin Bunk Rooms offer views of Micklegate en-suite bathrooms flat-screen TVs in room safes and tea and coffee facilities.Family Rooms overlook the Medieval walls and have original oak beams and fire places. These large spacious rooms offer Tea and Coffee facilities in-room safes and LCD TVs. The Dormitories range from 4 to 14 beds and some have a view of either the walls of York the Minster or Micklegate itself. All have their own bathrooms under storage lockers and individual reading lights. Please be aware that if you book a dorm then there is only 1 bathroom per dorm hence the larger the dorm the cheaper the price! Extra bathrooms though can be found on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Check-in is from 2pm only but you may leave your luggage in our secure luggage store if you decide to arrive early.ATTENTION!Families with children under 16 years old must take and pay for a whole room as children are not to share with other guests. Train and bus station:York Train Station - 4-5 minutes walk.Turn right out of station. Walk up the hill to the traffic lights. Turn left going under the city walls arch onto Micklegate and we are located around 200 metres on the left.Megabus stop (Leeman Road) - 4-5 minutes walkFrom Leeman Road walk straight towards the traffic lights and cross the road. You will see 'Reflex' 80s bar on your right. Turn right onto Micklegate and we are around 200 metres on the right side of the road.
