Gellifawr is located in the beautiful Gwaun Valley in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park about four miles from the coast and beaches at Newport Sands. The area in which they are situated is designated a site of special scientific interest. Perfect for walking bird watching hiking cycling nature watching beaches sightseeing or just relaxing in the friendly and comfortable welcoming environment.This is Bluestone country where the famous stones at Stonehenge originated. The area has many fascinating historical features. It lies in an unspoiled rural area surrounded by farms with many footpaths and bridleways and an abundance of wildlife. The nineteenth century stone farmhouse has been lovingly restored and comfortably furnished ensuring a warm welcome to this tranquil and relaxing family run hotel.We also have 15 cottages in various sizes from one to three bedrooms all beautifully converted from stone farm buildings. All cottages are non smoking. The cottages are situated in a lovely courtyard with a pond there are seating areas and barbecues for those lazy summer evenings and the cottages are only a stone's throw from the bar and restaurant should you feel like a break from self catering. Our newly refurnished restaurant offers a frequently changing menu that is designed and prepared using the finest local produce.We look forward to welcoming you.

Carmarthen - Road: From M4 J49 bear left (north onto A48) towards Camarthen (15.4 miles). From Camarthen (or the bypass) take the A40 towards Haverfordwest passing by St Clears and Whitland. After crossing over the A478 (Penbluin Roundabout) take the first right turn (B4313) to Bethesda (James the Saddler)Stay on the B2313 towards Fishguard (B4313) turn left in 0.8 miles. Stay on the B4313 by turning right at the T junction before Maenclochog towards Rosebush (signposted FishguardAbergwaun).From Cardigan - Road: Take the A487 towards Fishguard. On entering Newport (Trefdraeth) take the first turning on your left signposted Cilgwyn and Cwm Gwaun.Follow directions from the road signposted Cilgwyn and Cwn Gwaun below.From the road signposted Cilgwyn and Cwn Gwaun: - Road: At the T junction turn left and continue on this road for 2 miles past the S bend by the candlemakers and on to another T junction. At the T junction turn left and then immediately right up the hill signposted Gellifawr. After a mile come through Trefach farm and we are the next residence on the left hand side about a 1000 yds further.
