The Queens Hotel is situated in the heart of the vibrant City of York on the banks of the River Ouse. All of York's famous attractions are withinwalking distance. Superior rooms overlooking the river are subject to availability and should be requested direct with the Hotel prior to arrivalwe charge an extra £10.00 per night for these rooms. The Hotel has limited car parking spaces a space must be reserved direct with the Hotel prior to arrival if required to avoid disappointment the cost per night is £10.00.When the Hotel car park is fully booked an alternative is recommended approx 4 minutes from the Hotel. The cost per 24 hours at the NCP is £17.00 (rate subject to change). Our location on the riverside does occasionally cause issues with our car park when river levels are high we endeavour to contact you prior to arrival to advise of alternative parking if you have pre-booked a space. Please check carefully your route into York there are new restrictions across Lendal Bridge between 10.30am and 5pm 7 days a week.The Hotel has a Restaurant which serves breakfast and dinner daily the cost for a Full English breakfast is £8.50 per adult and £6.00 per child from 1st April 2013. Dinner is charged individually with a main course dish pricedfrom £8.95. The Hotel bar is open from 4.30pm until 12 midnight and the lounge overlooks the River. (Please note that limited menus will beavailable during Christmas and New Year period. Pre booking of evening meal is essential during this period. Evening meals and lunch will not beavailable on Christmas day).The Queens Hotel does not accept single sex groups. All public areas(including lounge and balcony) in the Hotel are non smoking. Smokingbedrooms can be requested at the time of booking. Requests are subject to availability.

From the North:From the A1 to A59 to City Centre pass through City Walls through first set of traffic lights at second set of lights turn right into Skeldergate and first left to the Hotel entrance.Or from the A19 cross the outer ring road (A1237) into York passing the Theatre Royal. Turn right at the traffic lights over the Lendal Bridge to the next set of lights. Turn left into George Hudson Street. Turn left at the next lights and first right into Skeldergate.
