Opened in 2013 at no expense-spared' by the Clark family Fonab has already established itself as the premier hotel in the area. Fonab Castle Hotel is unique luxurious and above all an experience. Little wonder that guests have described their stay at the Castle as faultless with one guest describing her stay as a fairy tale' experience.Individually designed bedrooms designed by mother and daughter team Joanne Clark and Becky Cross are nothing less than indulgent with bathrooms boasting fluffy towels and superb toiletry products. The inspiration comes from the romance and colour of the surrounding Perthshire Highlands. There are two excellent restaurants the Fonab Brassiere for lighter meals and the Sandeman Fine Dining restaurant offering the finest in Scottish fare. On warmer days diners may choose to dine al fresco on the terrace overlooking the loch. The cellars (over 200 bins) have a choice of wines to suit all tastes and pockets and what is quite likely to be one of the largest selection of whiskies and gin in Scotland.Those who wish to pamper themselves there's state-of-the-art destination spa opening in autumn 2013 while golfers can subject to handicap and tee times play at the world-famous Gleneagles. If you plan on walks through the countryside don't forget the dog - well behaved dogs are more than welcome in the soon to open state-of-the art kennels.

As you approach Pitlochry and have passed the A924 into Pitlochry regardless of whether travelling north or south the A9 loops round the west of Pitlochry town watch out for the turn off FOSS ROAD take that turnoff (be careful especially if travelling north as you cross oncoming traffic) and Fonab Castle drive is first on the left.If you're travelling by train exit at Pitlochry station and call a cab - SR Taxis 01796 473931 (best to pre-book) a short taxi run costing £4-5.
