Follow the A591 past Windermere village turn left at the roundabout towards Bowness on the A592.From the North: Leave the M6 at junction 40 (Penrith). Follow the A592 along Ullswater and over the Kirkstone Pass. Continue to Bowness on the A592.By Train: The Lake District station Oxenholme is on the direct London-Glasgow route.
