Rutherford House Guest House is situated to the south of Edinburgh. It benefits from the quiet rural countryside but yet only a 20minute drive will take you straight into the heart of Edinburgh city centre. Surrounded by extensive mature gardens Rutherford House offers all the comforts you would expect from a country house. This historic property which retains many original features dates back to circa 1800 when it was a Coach House for travellers between the North and the South. We are only a mile and a half from the beautiful conservation village of West Linton where you will find most amenities from the pharmacy to the local post office. We are surrounded by many beautiful walks being at the foot of the Pentland Hills Regional Park and for golf enthusiasts we sit between 2 golf courses. Whether you are seasoned walker cyclist golfer or wish to escape for a little peace and tranquillity - Rutherford House is your ideal base just south of Edinburgh city. We have double and twin rooms and can offer single occupancy of both. All our well appointed rooms have en-suite bathrooms with shower over bath. Our Deluxe rooms have oversized beds that are so comfortable you won't want to get up. Our rooms have flat screen Satellite TV tea and coffee making facilities hairdryers and luxury toiletries and visitors with wireless enabled laptops can make use of our broadband internet connection.
