The beautifully appointed rooms and suites offer the ideal place to escape from it all...and relax and unwind. You can see the sea from most of them and almost touch it from the balconies in rooms 9 and 10. And if you are looking for space our beach suites offer some of the most spacious hotel accommodation in the country. You can also come and sample some fantastic seafood in our restaurant overlooking the bay. Devon's favourite restaurateur Mitch Tonk's has written our menu and it is packed with great flavours from fish caught just off the coast. Pop in for some shrimps on toast crostini of Salcombe crab or roasted king prawns with garlic and fennel ...there is something to tempt everyone. Alternatively you might just like to stop by for a cocktail on the terrace. Oli and his team will be more than happy to mix you a sling or a fizz...



Hotel directions :
By car: Follow M5 south bound until it joins the A38. Follow the A38 expressway towards Plymouth taking the right hand fork as it splits. Stay on A38 until the Ermington Ivybridge park and ride turning. Follow the road when you reach the crossroads carry on straight over. At California cross (slightly after pub) turn left signed Loddiswell. Follow this road until Sorley Cross take the right turn in the direction of Plymouth. At Bantham Cross roundabout take the 1st exit to Salcombe. At Langworthy Barn junction turn right signed Salcombe. Follow this road for approx 5 miles. As you pass West End garage (on your right) continue for 0.5 miles and then take the right turn into Sandhills road. Follow through the hairpin bends and turn right at the bottom of the hill. Drive past the Winking Prawn (on your right) and follow the road you will climb out of the valley and then drop into the next (South Sands). You will see the Tides Reach hotel on your right and slightly further on is South Sands (left hand side). Drive past the hotel and on the hairpin left bend turn right into our driveway.By Train: Main line stations are located in Newton Abbot (45 min drive) Plymouth (40 min drive) and also a sub station at Totnes (35 min drive)By Air: Airports are located at Plymouth (40 Min drive) or Exeter (1 hour drive)
